Capacity Building
 Our unique Capacity Building
Programme is being funded Croydon Council Stronger Communities Fund. It is aimed at strengthening Croydon’s Asian
voluntary and community sector organisations, in order to enable them to
achieve long-term sustainability. The
Programme’s main objective is to assist these organisations in modernizing
their structures and systems, so as to be capable of delivering better and more
effective services to their constituent groups.
The process of Capacity
Building is being delivered by Joseph Jeffers, a qualified Capacity Building
Manager. Joseph has over 15 years’
experience of Capacity Building Pan London. ARCC is ideally placed to understand
the difficulties faced by the various Asian communities providing services in
Croydon and as a result design innovative solutions to tackle their problems.
Aided by a bespoke Health
Check (Tool Kit) the Capacity Building Manager will seek to identify a given
organisation’s Capacity Building needs in ten particular areas of
organizational development. After their initial
assessment, then he will make recommendations and draft an Action Plan.
He then will work on a one-to-one
basis with these groups, providing them with guidance and support in
implementing their particular recommendations. It is also an objective of the project to support organisations in
obtaining a Quality Mark. We will
provide the organisations with: -
- Free Professional Guidance
and Support
- Free Assistance with Training
and Development
- Free Information on Networks
and other relevant Sources of Information
- Mentoring where appropriate
- Fundraising Strategy
- Business plan
