The training was accredited by the Open College Network (OCN). The
project was delivered over a period of two years and in that time the
project trained 91 individuals from a cross section of the community. The overall outcome
of the project was to have more people from the Asian communities becoming
involved in forums, voluntary and statutory services in the Borough.
"The leadership course
provided trainers that delivered different styles and experience to the
students. I was enlightened by the variation of leadership approach, and
was able to identify my weaknesses, as well as my strengths"
"A well presented course. I was
very impressed with the special guest speakers who spoke about their
experiences through the work they do for the local community. I also enjoyed
meeting the diverse group of people who attended this course, learning about their
experiences on this subject. A course I will definitely recommend to
others!".
"This Leadership Course will
take you on a spiritual journey and will help you to discover your natural
innate qualities so you can make a conscious decision and to take the path of
your choice towards contributing to society where challenges are faced on how
people grow and change".
"We both found the course
refreshing, thought provoting and motivating. Having completed our PG's
in different areas, the leadership skills course enabled us to almagamate both
theories and put them into practice in our professional lives. It was
great to network with the group, and we are so glad that this has been
maintained even after the course. I will definately recommend the course to
my colleagues and friends, it was also set at a pace which was easy to
follow. Many thanks to the organisers for conducting this at the
ARCC".
