In collaboration with the Police, Asian Resource Centre of Croydon (ARCC) is in the process of setting up a Broad Green Business forum that will support Asian Businesses in the Broad Green area of Croydon with access to up to date information on safety, criminal activity in the area, security and a host of other issues.
ARCC wishes to establish closer links with the business communities in Croydon in general as we believe there are a range of opportunities for partnership working in this area. For further information on this project please contact Joseph Jeffers on 020 8684 3784 or email joseph.jeffers@arccltd.com
To date two consultation meetings have taken place with local businesses and Police facilitated by ARCC. The next meeting is due to take place on 12th July 2011 (Please see flyer below for more information) with a view to create a user lead business forum.
ARCC works with a wide range of Asian communities in the borough and hope that more partnership work can take place between the Asian Voluntary sector and the business sector in Croydon. One of the main areas of concern was the lack of provision of services for young people in the Broad Green area and over the coming months and weeks ARCC hopes to identify what services exist and how best to promote the services to the wider community. The first two meetings have demonstrated that people in the Broad Green area want to become engaged in making the area safe and secure for all.
