Join Our Board of Trustees, Make a Difference in the Community

The Asian Resource Centre of Croydon (ARCC) is a well-established community charity supporting Croydon’s diverse communities since 1999. We promote mental health, social inclusion, equality, and community cohesion, empowering individuals and groups to create lasting positive change. 
 
We are now seeking passionate and community-driven individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help shape the next phase of ARCC’s growth and impact.

This is a voluntary role, but the rewards come from contributing to meaningful change and being part of a dedicated, inspiring team.

  • As a Trustee, you’ll play a vital role in:

    • Influencing ARCC’s strategy and long-term vision 

    • Strengthening governance and accountability 

    • Supporting local initiatives that bring people together 

    • Helping Croydon’s diverse communities thrive

  • We’re particularly interested in people who:

    • Live in Croydon or nearby areas

    • Are passionate about community empowerment, equality, and inclusion

    • Bring skills & knowledge

    Or experience in one or more of these areas:

    • Legal or Charity/Corporate Law

    • Finance and Accounting

    • Human Resources (HR)

    • Fundraising or Business Development 

    • Community Development

    • IT and Digital Strategy

    • Property or Asset Management 

    • Marketing and Communications 

    • Change Management

    We also welcome individuals with lived experience of the issues ARCC works on, including social inequalities, mental health and community engagement. 

    • Bi-monthly meetings (in person or online)

    • Attendance at AGM (in person)

    • Occasional additional sessions, training or events

    • Attendance at community activities is encouraged

    Minimum 80% attendance is expected to help the Board function effectively.
